Requirements for Application: New York State law requires all dogs to be
licensed in the town where they are harbored by the age of four months. To
license or renew a license the resident must submit a copy of the Rabies
Vaccination Certificate and Spaying or Neutering Certificate, if applicable,
with appropriate fee to Town Clerk's Office. The cost for a spayed or neutered
dog is $2.50, for an un-spayed or un-neutered dog the cost is $10.50. All dog
licenses are renewable annually, a notice will be sent to each owner from New
York State Agriculture and Markets Dog Licensing Unit. You can download the form
if you did not receive or have lost the notice or are licensing your dog for the
first time and wish to license your dog by mail. Dogs are not allowed to run at
large during the winter months. A Dog Quarantine is imposed by Oswego County
each January to prevent deer depredation .The quarantine is lifted April 15th.
