| Ira Hoot built a Sawmill at Cheevers |

| A family stopped at a log house for the night, having
traveled from Oneida County. They placed their cattle in the
barn. A pack of wolves came in the night, and surrounded the
building where the sheep were. The sheep were killed by wolves.
This was just west of what is now Albright Road. |
