1832

Samuel Merriam settled in the Village and was appointed commissioner of Deeds. Served as Town Clerk 1836-1837 and Justice of Peace - 1837. He died in 1889.
Tanner Family came and settled, also Lyman Legg. Legg was an 1812 Veteran.

1833

Methodist Episcopal church was formed 1st ediface built in 1876.

Hale established a Coffin Warehouse.

1836

Mexico took 6 lots which make up Mexico, point today.
Nathaniel Ball and Nicholas Chesbro located in town.

1837

Rozelle Marvin, age 8 years, drowned in creek at the Hollow. When he fell off a log, he was crossing the creek and fell through the ice.

1838

Alexander Barton returned to town and was one of the first to grow strawberries.

1839

William Tanner died of broken neck from wrestling.
