Bootlegging was a prominate business during prohibition.
Illegal alchol was brought in at Catfish Creek and put in cars
and brought to several places in town.

Elizabeth Shepard died.
July 26-Bridge over Catfish Creek in Demster collapsed and
two children drowned.

A temporary Charter was applied for on July 16th with 14
Charter members.

Temporary Charter cancelled September 7, 1926. Reorganized &
cancelled again in 1928.
