C. Shepard died.
New vault built in cemetery and a wrought iron fence installed and a brick gate post was put at the entrance with an iron gate.

Civil war monument moved from down in the cemetery near Doyle lot to its present location.

1938

Mexico school district, centralized and the country schools, started closing down.
District #5 New Haven closed. Town line was the last to close in the 1950's.

1939

Dances were held every Saturday night at Grange Hall. Both Round and Square. Admission 35 cents.
